Mask Making Masterclass with Creative Learning in Aberdeen

I’ve returned back from a fantastic weekend in my old stomping ground Aberdeen feeling very inspired. It’s been a delight to work with Creative Learning, which is a council-run initiative to promote arts, culture and creativity within the community.

What I enjoy most is being creative and share that with others so I hosted a masterclass Mask Making workshop with some really enterprising, creative people. I even had a bit of time to make some pom poms!

It was so great to see the creative process in action at the Mask Making Masterclass. Check out all the amazing masks!

We initially looked at photos of all types of masks from different cultures, made from a variety of materials and how they can convey personality. It could be physical features, personal interests or even down to favourite colours. Everyone then got to work thinking how that applies to their own personality and decide what sort of mask to make.

I’m so pleased to see how different everyone’s masks looked in the end.

Thank you to Creative Learning for inviting me to be part of such a creative bunch.
