Mother’s Day gift ideas – mum’s the word!

Mother's Day 2019

It’s Mother’s Day at the end of March, so why not put a smile on your mum’s face with a thoughtful present? We have an array of gift ideas for all the ladies in your life – mums, grans and aunties – from silky scarves to cosy hot water bottles, knitted cushions and lambswool throws.

Here’s what the Donna Wilson studio are planning to give their loved ones – shhhhh, don’t tell!

Amelia: My mum is a textile designer who loves print and colour – and her bed! She’s very picky when it comes to bed linen, but the Acorn Bed Set would definitely meet her high standards.

Bec: My mum just bought a new dressing table, so I’m giving her a Mother Nature Mini Tray to display her perfumes and trinkets on.

Donna: I’d give my sister, who is a mum, a Mermaid Hot Water Bottle as she always gets cold fingers and toes. And, like a mermaid, she’s pretty amazing! She’s just gone back to college to re-train as a teacher.

Emilie: My nan loves her garden so I’d give her a shaped Leaf Cushion and bring a little bit of the outdoors inside.

Jess: My mum has the fluffiest white cat called Boo, so I think she’d like the Mog ceramics – and as she’s also partial to a cup of tea I’d have to plump for the Mog Mug.

Kat: As my three-year-old likes to make dens from my blankets and throws, I’d really like a new one for my sofa – I’ve got my eye on the Snake Throw.

Lora: My fur babies have stolen my knitted Ernest Pouffe, so I’m expecting them to club together and buy me a new one!

Mimi: I’ll be giving my mum a Flower Silk Neckerchief – it’s elegant yet fun, and will allow her personality to shine through!
