Welcome to our new blog + New Fabrics!

13 May 2015

Hello world, welcome to our shiny new blog!

We’re so pleased to unveil this beautiful new blog we’ve been working on for some time now. We hope you like it! And we’d like to extend a very special thank you to Siew who designed it and Andrew who built it! x

In other news, we have also just added to our website a handful of new fabrics for Spring!
The five new styles we have just added to our growing range of fabrics are part of a special series Donna has designed exclusively for John Lewis, and are only available at select John Lewis stores and on our website. All fabrics are printed in the UK.

We hope these new styles and colours inspire you to have a go at sewing this Spring!  We’ll soon be posting some patterns and ideas for what you can do with these fabrics. Stay tuned!

Now in stock: Donna Wilson’s first-ever collection of Fabric by the meter!

4 August 2014
Get your scissors, pins, and sewing machines out – Donna Wilson’s first ever collection of fabrics by the meter is here! Donna was inspired to design a range of fabrics in an effort to encourage people to be more creative and make things at home.
Forest and Friends‘ is a collection of ten fabric designs in two weights, cotton and heavy linen, featuring some of Donna’s signature motifs: clouds, trees, lakes, and many other references to her childhood growing up on a farm in Aberdeenshire in the northeast of Scotland.  The fresh and cheerful prints are perfect for making cushions, curtains, bedding, and even clothes!  In keeping with her commitment to support local manufacturing, all of the fabrics in the collection are printed in the historical silk town of Macclesfield in the UK.
