A new body of work from Donna Wilson and a first foray into an area where sculpture meets function.
Taking watercolour painting and sketches as a starting point, Abstract Assembly began as a creative experiment in composition,
combining unconventional colour combinations and organic forms.
Abstract Assembly first took form in 2020 as a limited-edition run of wooden chairs and mirrors,
produced using traditional joinery methods and painted by hand in bespoke palettes.
One-off sculptures have been added to the collection, featuring
hand-blown glass elements that co-exist within the wooden forms.
Glimpse an insight into the production process on the blog.
